Hey Guys :D I gots some images I sent into a digital art show. I made 4 separate scenes and rendered 7 images total.



An Abstract Image I rendered.. I think I wanna call it Collision



A photo realistic rendering of a cover of a book



Another attempt at photo realism.. (didn't quite work out but it had to make deadline.. :/)



An Enviornment Scene I have worked on some quite some time

What did you use to make them?

I used Blender 3D :D Free open source program. Been using it about 3 years or so.. Its a fun program once you get used to it.

OH and I forgot to say thanks for the compliment. :D

Ahh nice. Yeah I had downloaded it before to use for videos but just never used it and eventually deleted it.

Cool. Its a little overwhelming when you first open it isn't it? Especially the node editor! But once I figured it out it is a wonderfully useful tool. I hope to eventually make my own animated movies with it some day.

these are awesome. How did you get the words and the bleed-over-from-other-page words?

I put a bible on my scanner and scanned it super high res then applyed it as a texture to that particular face of the object I used for the pages. :)

@Aslansc Actually that is a good point. But of course people use photographs for texture all the time so I don't think what I did is any different

This by far beats anything I ever made in blender

i like the video, the completed video has great grass, the wind might be a little to powerful though

These are AMAZING! The most I've made in blender is an oddly shaped box, so this is really amazing to me, and others. I'll get around to it one of these days. Anyway, what kind of Graphics card does it take to render these? I'd assume it's near-crysis system strain.

Well actually when something is rendered in Blender it uses your CPU and RAM. I have a Core i7 processor (3.0ghz quadcore) and 12 GBs of RAM. I do also have a graphics card though able to run crysis :P Which is btw a beautiful game on highest detail.. Anyways. Hope this information helps.
