I don't own an iPhone, I've never touched an iPhone, and my last gaming console was the N64.
Make your own conclusions.

It's overated.
Ask anybody whats special about it? They won't know..
Sure it's a good phone, but not as good as you think.

It's not over rated.. for the money (factory refurb 8g 3G for $50), you get quite alot. And Ipod, internet (data plan is literally not an option. $30/month), tons of apps to keep you entertain (Linerider, Jellycar, Rolando 1&2 are major time wasters at break time for me).
I still haven't filled up my 8gig ipod touch, and when my contract is up, i'll be getting an iphone.

I prefer my $10 prepaid phone that's lasted me over a year.

A really bad phone and a really bad gaming system.
Also far too fragile, seen too many of them break from 2 ft falls, they are too bulky when they have their protective cases too.
I donno at least I don't get any entertainement from it.

How about both? There's nothing that some expert level whining and crying to parents can't solve.
But if your parents are soulless creatures like mine then I would probably choose an Iphone, since portable gaming + web browsing + phone is awesome.

You get a lot of stuff on it but it is not a gaming system.

I had a Virgin Mobile pay-as-you-go. the phone itself sucked dick cause no major brands will put much effort into making them a good phone. But their service.. flawless. $20/month for unlimited text and it came with 20 or so minutes of air time, which I didn't use anyways.
The iPhone isn't a gaming system per se, but it's an entertainment system, and the best one for the money too.

I consider it a gaming system, and whenever someone calls me I get ticked lol. I think I would have done much better to just get a itouch

It's a phone with games included, just like other phones. You can't do any real hardcore gaming on the iPhone.

Honestly, the only reason the iPhone got as much publicity as it did was because it was licensed by Apple INC., and Mr. Jobs himself. Had it been put out by Motorola, or even Nokia, nobody would have bothered. That's why the focus is switching to Google's UNIX-Based Android Mobile OS now. It's open source, compatible with any platform (Great for netbooks), and it's got an entire modding community. The StevePhone only has it's Appstore, which is terrible. Honestly, it's an overrated device by an overrated company that's so overhyped people think they'll get superpowers if they buy one.
I own an iPod Touch, but not an iPhone. I pretty much regret buying the Touch because I never use the apps much. Then again, sometimes I do and they're neat. Maybe if I bought some of the fancier pay ones, I'd like them more.

The ads on TV sometimes show all the awesome games the iPhone has, which gets us to buy it. I've touched it only once before, and I was going oh crappity crap because I didn't know how to turn it off. It was somebody else's.
Looks pretty neat though.

If you're just looking for a new phone, the Motorola Droid is by far the best phone out right now.
