I do like it when the patriotic pride I have is actually allowed to be expressed without being stuck in the 1800s.
On the downside, I find it all really sobering and depressing. Necessary, but depressing.

How we remember it
Anyone wanna exchange WW2 stories from relatives?
My great uncle was a canadian soldier in Hong Kong, the defence of HK was somewhat of a disaster when it was attacked by the japanese in 1940 (I'm p sure it was then) and anyways he got captured and spent nearly 6 YEARS in prison camps, most could not last that long, let alone two. When he came back he was a silent skeleton. Never really became the same again. Must've seen/done some really screwed up shit.

Spent my entire day fighthing for my country. I was in the Modern Warfare 2 squad. I am proud to say that I have killed many enemy's to keep my country safe.
