Setting

Balovia and Laicones are at the western edge of a major continent. They border mountains to their east and an ocean to their west.

Balovia and Laicones have been at war for a long time. There hasn't been a major attack for many years but there have been small attacks on farms, villages and monasteries. The war began nearly two hundred years before when Balovia was the largest country on the side of the mountains.
All the other nations joined in and formed Laicones for their own protection, each country became a county and was ruled by a governer. The newly formed nation became a type of shared monarchy in which the governors voted for decisions that would affect the entirety of Laicones.

Laicones then went total war against Balovia and burned down many monasteries and religious places in Balovia. Balovia is a very religious nation and follows their god, Balov, to a "T".

After the constant battles the countries couldn't sustain complete war any longer. They then simmered and the war consisted of random, small attacks on non-important border towns and areas of the countries.

Eventually, Laicones attacked an extremely important monastery which angered Balov. Now, in present time, Balov is flooding the area west of the mountains. The only high ground is the mountains to the east which are filled with Dwarves and a clan of Ogres. Laicones is extremely racist and supremist in the human way of life and Balovia is more friendly to the other races.

Now both nations are heavily considering moving east into the mountains to find refuge and a new way of life while they leave their old countryside behind.

This is an awakening.

This is a rough map of what the area looks like. Feel free to add in your own imagination with landmarks and whatnot.

Rules
(Note:These rules are and will be subject to change if the posters wish)

[*] Decent spelling and grammar should be observed in all IC posts. That doesn't mean perfect, but it means no l33t-speak and an understanding of punctuation. OOC posts are less strict, but still need to be understandable.

[*]Keep posts literate, try to manage at least two paragraphs per in-character post.

[*]One character per person per game. NPCs can be created of course, ie bartenders, shopkeepers etc. but you can only have one main party character.

[*]When making a character or characters please avoid cliches if you can, unless you honestly want your character(s) to be like that. Do your best to balance your characters with weaknesses that level out your strengths.
(An invincible demon lord who can fire lasers from his eyes is not a good example for a character.)

[*]You might have to lose. Deal with it. Dying is usually avoidable but if you get into a fight one of you should probably end up injured in some way.

[*]No character control, including involuntary killing, wounding or any situation the author wouldn't be able to get out of. If you're fighting, end your post just before the attack hits and they should be able to avoid it with minimal retconning.

[*] No putting down another person's ideas, if you don't like the idea give the person constructive criticism via PM. If it's not worth it to you, don't make yourself look like a jerk on the thread.

[*]When creating a character please consider the following:
a. Your character's personality and history.
b. What your character's skills are.
c. How to keep your character consistent (ie weaknesses towards women).
d. A physical description.

[*]If you are going to make an extreme story-changing post wait thirty minutes before you post another story-changing post again. This way people can keep up better.

[*]The most important thing to remember is that this is a game. Enjoy it.

(Note:These rules are and will be subject to change if the posters wish)

Episodes
I will break down the story into summaries called "Episodes". This way you can look back and get the gist of what has happened in what chapter. Plus, if you are a newcomer, you can easily understand what is going on.

Episode One: Charles leaves his home to migrate east towards the mountains, through his passing he finds an odd man named Kyo from another world althogether. A place called "Tyria". Kyo is caught and almost killed at the stake for looking like a vampire.
Lance and Flysh are also introduced when they meet up in a collision. Flysh runs off into the distance, abandoning Lance.
Lance moves on ahead into a small forest and is surprised to find flysh once again. They then decide to form a group and travel together.
They find Charles picking plants and Charles runs away, not noticing the pair. They think he's up to no good.
Flysh spontaneously made way to town center where Kyo is being executed. Flysh cast a spell to put them to sleep and a hooded stranger grabbed them and teleported them away.
Tordrun teleports on top of Lance (What luck for him). The two move off towards the mountains.
Kyo watches them but is caught when he makes noise. The ragtag group goes together and discovers a group of bandits harassing a woman.
Charles spots Xela and chases him down in search of Mountain Springwater. Xela turns out to be hostile towards humans and storms out of Arthur's (Charles' carpenter friend) house.
The three fight the bandits and a strange plant named Killrrhubarb enters the battle. The group succeeds and make camp for the night with an injured woman and newly found chainsaw. Charles and Arthur wander into the camp and stay the night with them.

Episode 2: The group, minus Xela, climbs into the mountains but are stopped by a stranger. He leads them off into a cave with the help of Kyo's speed spell, but Arthur falls out of range and collapses in his old-aged weakness. Charles returns but Arthur tells him to move on, handing him a secret formula to create powerful healing potions out of common ingredients.
The party enters the cave and moves through the tunnel, ending up in the mountains. Charles is grabbed up but quickly saved by the party only to be grabbed up again. The captors were escaping an oncoming avalanche that quickly toppled Lance and Tordrun as Kyo and Lorachu escaped.
Charles wakes up in an ogre prison and is carried off to be fed to a beast. Charles talks his way into befriending the monstrous ogre, Grunth, and the two escape from the city together.
Lance wakes up in the snow and wanders towards a strange tower.
Kyo and Lorachu enter the tower and the gates seal shut behind them. They run around and try to uncover the purpose of a giant mechanism at the towers top and find a strange prophecy.
Charles and Grunth meet Lance at the tower's entrance and Kyo and Lorachu open the gates, relieved to see their friends again.
As the party is reunited and Grunth is introduced a pack of Balov Hounds, servants of Balov, wander in and attack the party. After discovering that the hounds had the ability to bring eachother back to life they made a plan to destroy them all at once and succeeded.
The party rested for the night as Killrrhubarb enclosed on the tower, waiting for the party to finish resting.

Episode 3: In the night A Balov Warrior sneaks into the tower and places a piece of Balovian Metal, a magical metal that will lose it's magic if claimed by a mortal, into Kyo's head. The magic retains its power because Kyo is from another dimension, leaving him to be the perfect candidate.
A strange dwarf named Xavier arrives in the morning and awakens the party, dragging them through the snow towards the Dwarven City.
Within the Dwarven City miners have been finding strange artifacts made of an odd metal that they have never seen before. Xavier had sent out to find Balovians who may be able to link the metal with their religion and history.
Killrrhubarb and Tordrun catch up with Charles and Grunth in a tavern within the Dwarven City as they wait for everyone to meet up in the center of town to reconnect with Xavier.
Lance reunites with two surviving friends and Kyo topples a mafia to save a pair of women.
Once they meet back up in the center of town they are led by Xavier and Dorkur, two antique collectors, down into the earth to see the artifacts. Grunth and Killrrhubarb are left behind.
Once they find the correct room Kyo touches the artifacts causing the piece of metal stashed in his head to fly out and re-enchant the newly found artifacts.
Xavier goes crazy as it turns out this was a conspiracy to break a seal which prevented Balov from entering the city. As Xavier gives up his own life to be reborn as an immortal being known as The Guardian the seal breaks and Balov Hounds flood the city, causing destruction.
The spider crashes through a wall and plows up into the city from the mines. The Guardian wreaks havoc on the city and crawls off into the distance.
Jalos leaves his castle and meets his old acquaintance Delpherion, a dragon, and flies above an ocean which is home to the Sitnaltans. Jalos hides in a cart to find a sneaky way into the underwater city.
Xela meets up with a thief named Daris after he loots Maldar for its abandoned wealth. They make their way into the mountains when they are stopped by bandits.
Episode 4: Kyo leads a group of evacuees from the Dwarven city and meets up with Kagura, a friend from Kyo's world. They return to the tower and are blessed by Kyo's gods, allowing them to live peacefully for the time being.
Charles and Dorkur awake under the rubble of the fallen city and move away from the city. They find the corpses of the citizens of Maldar and decide to head for the tower, where Kyo would likely be.
Xela and Daris fight off the bandits and make their way towards a tower in the distance.
Jalos distracts the sitnaltins as he sneaks upstairs in a holy place only to find an angry priest, ready to strike.
Charles and Dorkur meet Kyo and the survivors and have a standoff. Charles tries to convince the people that Kyo has been a traitor all along but the argument fizzles out.
Charles and Grunth decide they are to go south, towards the desert for the first artifact that will destroy what Kyo has helped Xavier create.
Xela and Daris meet up with Kyo and the rest and Xela and Killrrhubarb take quick interest in eachother.
Lance and his two friends travel towards the tower and come very close before they have to rest in a nearby cave, waiting for rescue.

QUOTE
Charles Carthel (ProMetaAnaTelo)

A young son of a Laioconesian farmer. The farm was raized in a Bailovian raid and his family moved deeper into the country of Laicones. Charles became the assistant of a cattle rancher but when thieves came and robbed a large amount of cattle from the ranch he grew sick of the society of Laicones.
He moved north into Balovia and was turned down in nearly every place of work and shelter because of his Laiconesian name.
He created a new identity for himself and took up residence in a monastery to the god Balov. The monks there took him in gladly and began to teach him the ways of religion, gardening and alchemy.
A Laiconesian prisoner escaped to the monastery where the monks allowed him residence many years later. Charles, now in his twenties, began to listen to the atheistic prisoner and decided to take a new path with his life.
Charles moved out of the monastery and built a home on the outskirts of a major city in Balovia. He began work as an alchemist and made home visits to the sick with medicines and potions to help cure them.
Charles is now in his thirties and sports medium-length, brown hair. He has a full beard and a pair of cheap glasses. He's average height but lanky and lacks proper body muscle.
His main strength is his knowledge of alchemy and the way he can mix substances to create medicines, poisons and other types of liquids. He also is very intelligent at problem-solving.
Charles is too physically frail for combat, however. He usually can find ways to avoid dodgy situations and dangerous people.
Charles is a strong Balovian, but does not worship the god Balov. Instead he keeps out of the affairs of religion.
Wears a brown overcoat with a hood. When traveling he carries a large backpack and pouches that contain alchemical equipment.

Name: Xela (Xela)
Age: 14
Race: Avian
Gender: Male
Appearance: Skinny and sinewy, this guy lives in the mountains like the others of his race. They're all tall and light, with white hair (I say hair, but feathers). And, of course, the big 'ol wings on his back really help with that flying lark.
Weapons: A golden-coloured trident. It can be used as a handheld weapon and can also be used to cast electrical spells.
Powers: He can fly, which is the main thing to be honest. He also has really good eyes and can see for miles.
Alignment: In the mountains
Personality: A bit of a recluse, and a generally isolated person. He will trust those he trusts, but he won't be your mate for no reason.
Short History: He lives in the mountains, and has done for all his life in the typical fashion of his people. They live alone usually and hunt for food, trading in the markets of other cultures for whatever they need, and meeting up in the summer in flocks.
Other: I'll be dropping in in just a moment

QUOTE
Name: Lance (Gandaf007)

Age: 21

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Appearance: He stands at 6'3. Has decent enough muscles and can defend himself well enough in a fight. He's a bit skinny, has fair skin, long blonde hair and has a bit of a round countenance. Lance wears tan robes and brown, worn boots that reach half way up his shins.

Weapons: He conceals a dagger underneath his right sleeve, and has two dozen, small throwing knives in a pack he attaches to his waist, which hides underneath his robe (basically a fanny pack). The pack also carries several healing potions and herbs.

Powers: Has the ability to essentially blend in to his environment for a short period of time (usually 5-10 minutes, not completely invisible but for the most part) and has an uncanny ability to be very accurate with his throwing knives.

Alignment: Balvoian, (not sure if moral alignment is needed or wanted, but I feel the need to say it anyways) he is, for the most part, Chaotic Good.

Personality: Very quiet and laid back. Will usually listen to others without a word, but he'll speak when he feels needed. His tone when talking is soft, but powerful. Observes the world around him with a sad look on his face, although a bit of hope shines in his eyes.

Short History: Lance grew up in a middle-class family in the urban area (I'll let others make up the names for cities, I'm no too good at coming up with them myself) of Balovia. He received a decent enough education at a nearby school, and was always an average student. At the age of fifteen, he became bored with his painstakingly average life. He decided to run away and take to the streets, in search for excitement. He had received a good enough education, so he was a lot clever than the usual street urchin. He stole food and drink from stalls and shops, during these times he gained the ability to blend in with his surroundings to avoid capture. When he turned eighteen, he looked back on the past three years and became disappointed with what he had done, and began to rejoin the majority of society. He turned over a new leaf, and decided to help spread good across the land although at times his methods of upholding justice and general good can be a bit unorthodox.

Other: Wants Laicones to be part of Balovia, very badly, and he'd go to extreme lengths to try and help his beloved country win the war.

QUOTE
Name: Killrrhubarb

Age: Seventeen in plant years, only Five years old in human.

Race: Living Plant

Gender: Male

Appearance: A reddish color as most of his body, with two club-like fists, long green roots as legs, and long green strong leaves as a sort of hair.

Weapons: None, other than his club-like fists and the noxious odor he can produce.

Powers: Can harvest the power of the sun to make him grow much bigger and stronger momentarily.

Alignment:Believes in the great god Solara, which means that he is not evil, but would harm others if harm is going to com upon him.

Personality: Confident and very headstrong. Believes he is the strongest plant alive, which is most probably correct at the moment. Most of his friends died when the bandits raded his hometown, and wants to avenge their losses.

Short History: Killrrhubarb was born in the great land of Greenleaves, in the city of Sunhold, just east of the Swolo mountains. As his city was situated next to a bandit camp, he learnt the power of walking, which many of the other living plants did not have the power to do. When the bandits realized how advanced the living plants were, they raided the camp and killed all the non-moving plants, and if Killrrhubarb and the few other walking plants did not escape to the mountains, they would have met the same fate. Killrrhubarb wanted to rush down and kill the bandits with the remaining plants but once inside the mountains, the other plants were too scared and left Killrrhubarb on his own, watching the bandits and following their tracks. He followed them all the way to Balovia, where he saw the bandits go into the large city known as Maldar. There he realized that to be able to avenge his family, he needed help from other sources...

Other: Not very wise, as he is not very old. He sometimes rushes into situations without realizes what harm could come to him, but because of his strength he manages to get out of them somehow.

QUOTE (Lord John @ Nov 5 2009, 08:36 AM) *
Name: Jalos, Self Proclaimed Lord of the Dead, God of the New World, Master of Darkness etc.
Age: Alive since time immemorable
Race: Vampeel. A creation of the union between a Vampire and a mortal Elven maiden.
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Though his face has never been seen, his skin is a ghostly pale white. His long matted brown hair is kept within his helmet, presumably growing longer and longer, though no one will ever know. He posesses the eye of a corrupt Elven Mystic, a trait carried down his family line and made whole in his unholy birth. This eye posesses a mind of it's own; It works in a symbiotic relationship with Jalos, extending his dark powers, though the eye has an agenda of it's own.

Weapons: A vast array of weapons are at his disposal, though none is more favoured than his sword, Illith the Blood Drinker.

Powers: Extensive control over all things dead. The mixture of Elven and Vampiric blood provides him with extreme strength and magical proficiancy, enabling him to ensnare weak humans with his mind and cast the most powerful of spells. His Mystic Eye is able to scry remotely and view people around the world of Balovia and Laicones. Weak farsight abilites enable the eye to see cloudy images of the future. Despite the power of this Eye, it's own will does not always agree with Jalos' desires. The Eye only reveals it's power to Jalos when it believes it will benefit.

Alignment: Pure EVIL. Hatred of everything living and despised by everyone. He cares little for the conflict of the two major regions and considers himself the next heir, conquering both this world and all others that dare to rear their head.
Personality: Insane. The immortality of a Vampire has warped him. Society hated him from his birth and as a result he hates their pitiful lives. He is indifferent to the suffering of others, considering it revenge for the eternity of pain generations of mankind have heaped on him. Overall bitter though insanely wise and knowledgeable.

Short History: His mother, an Elven Maiden from the Living Forests was abducted eons ago by the Vampiric Lord Macbeth. She was raped for his pleasure though she escaped weeks later before he could drain her of blood once he was bored of her. She gave birth to Jalos, the Vampeel. She hid him for his own safety as Vampires, let alone Vampeels, were detested in her home land. She reared the child in solitude, leaving him to fend for himself for long periods of time while she went about her business in the Elven Capital to avoid suspision. He later learned of the nature of his true Father. He hated his Father for the pain he caused his mother and hated the curse of Vampirism that had now been passed to him.

He was chased from the Elven Capital when he was 15 and his mother was tortured and burnt at the stake for rearing such a creature. In despair he left the forest, finally seeking refuge in the home of a Necromancer. Jalos' power began to exceed the Necromancer's and out of fear, the Necromancer attempted to kill Jalos. Jalos beheaded the man with ease. He grew in knowledge of all that was arcane and evil. He later returned to the Elven capital and slaughtered the whole city, ressurecting the corpses of his Mother's torturers and forcing them to slay their comrades and tear themselves apart.

He was subsequently hunted for his genocide, but he found refuge in the far Northern Mountains. There he resides in his Palace, SilverMaw, gaining in power as he reads the forbidden ancient tomes of Magiks. He is ready to conquer.

Other: Though Jalos is seemingly a Godlike figure, he does have weaknesses. His major weakness thanks to his Vampiric Father, is Sun Sickness. He is unable to stay in the sun for extended periods of time, even under his armour. If he did, he would burn and die like all Vampires. Due to his Elven nature however, he is able to roam for a short time before experiencing such effects.

QUOTE
Malice

I apologize for the low quality of the picture as I don't have a scanner to scan pictures.

Malice is also known as the Balov Warrior. He's seemingly invincible as Balov encases his entire body, rendering his body completely protected.

Malice has lived for hundreds of years after being sealed away inside a shrine to his love during his mortal lifetime. Malice seeks to perfect his necromancy to the point where he can bring his lover's soul back from the dead and restore it to her body after accidentally killing her in one of his experiments during his mortal lifetime.

Malice helped set up the destruction of the Dwarven City with the assistance of the dwarf Xavier. Malice now leaves Xavier to attend to their continent of Balov as he seeks for the pure essences of the Great Magics that sealed him in the shrine and would ultimately lead to his downfall.

Combat

Combat has been completely redone and now is in a literary style instead of a game-like style. Sorry if you aren't happy, but the majority ruled in favor.

Remember
Keep your posts detailed and story-like. Don't make your posts a series of actions. Give your character some personality that shines through their actions, please.

PoultryChamp has so kindly allowed us to put this in the Literature section where, as of now, post count will go up with each post.

Flatypus
Name: Tordrun Mousket
Age: Fabled to be hundreds of years old.
Race: Balovian
Gender: Male
Appearance: Looks like he is in mid-twenties, has chesnut-brown hair, big feet, pretty fit. Oh yeh, and golden eyes. (No, I didn't steal that from the Day of the Triffids ninja.gif ) Feel euphoric when you are around him. Kind of like how people are when they are around elves in Lord of the Rings. Is secretly a few hundred years old. Appears young because of a spell that makes him young. Is like a drug for him.
Weapons: Poweful ring, but doesn't use it.
Powers: Very powerful sorceror, but hasn't used his powers for decades. Only uses them in time of emergency.
Alignment: Very peaceful, pacifist (kind of), wants to rid the world of the terrible war, but can use violence to do it.
Personality: Childish; Happy, Short-tempered, Playful. Has mood swings, and can get very aggresive, and VERY powerful.
Short History: Was born before even the war had started to a rich family. One day in his teens, he discovered he had strange mystical powers, and became an outcast to society. Magic and strange things were frowned upon back then. He was eventually taken in by an old sage one day when the sage caught him stealing form a market stall for food. Feeling sorry for Tordrun and wanting to help him, the sage took him in and raised him, teaching him how to control and manipulate his powers for good. The war started, and the sage was killed fighting alongside Tordrun in one of the great battles. Tordrun later found the sage had left him his ring, which had enhanced the sage's powers so much. At once, Tordrun sought revenge for the death of his father-figure and only friend, and attacked and killed all the innocents of a big Laiconesian village. After realising what he had done, he swore an oath never to use the ring again, and rarely uses magic.
He uses a powerful spell every day that keeps him young, hoping that he can help to stop the terrible war. But the spell is like a curse. He doesn't want to die. He doesn't know what to do after the war stops.

How t'was that?

Charles takes one last look through his windows into the grove lit by the morning light. He'd spent a few years collecting ingredients from the grove which is just outside the forest south of Maldar, a medium-sized town within the deeper hills of Balovia.

Charles remembers midnight walks through the grove, listening to the crickets chirp watching the fireflies drunkenly dance in the moonlight. He remembers warm Summer's spent here when the tall, white trees bore their sweet fruits. These would make fine wines if they were given adequate time.

But now he is leaving everything behind. Prophets claim that the constant war has finally drove Balov to the limit. He's raining judgement upon his holy lands to cleanse them. Nobody is quite sure how long the impending tides will last, but it can only be assumed that they will stay for a long time.

Without warning, it seemed. "Damn Laiconesians. Men without morals."

Scanning the multiple shelves which were cluttered with various vials and dried plants. Finally he finds the one labled 'Springwater'. It is a large vial, a greenish tint to the glass and and rounder at the bottom than the top. He purchased this from an Avian many years before. The springwater from the mountains has something mixed within it that helps numb feeling. It makes for a very affective painkilling ointment.

He brings the last vial to his bag in the corner of the room and places it inside. Charles closes the leather straps and takes a deep breath. He slings the bag over his shoulder and tightens the straps across his torso. He moves to remove his blanket from a metal hook on the wall but stops to gain his bearings.

Never has he left the safety of society on his own and now he's pushing towards the brunt of the storm. Up into the mountains.

He pulls the blanket from the hook and wraps it around his mass. He turns one last time to look at the home that was once his own. Sighing, he opens the door and steps out into the morning light. The birds are singing and the dew wets his shoes.

Looking to the east he can see the tips of blurry mountains. This is his destination.

This is his great migration.

Charles walks through the grove and picks off a leaf from a tree. He examines the veins as he begins to enter a denser wood, only the birds keeping him company.

For awhile, he resided in the mountains, hoping for a hobbit to cross his path so he can successfully reenact a most offensive book he wrote, titled The Hobbit. Lance woke up in the alley he usually slept in. Feeling a bit sore, he decided to walk around the marketplace.

He walked into the marketplace as the stall vendors were beginning to shelve their wares, food, and other trinkets. There were a few shoppers browsing around, hoping to get ahead of the usual rush. Lance wandered from stall to stall, seeing if there was anything interesting to buy, but there was nothing...

Lance noticed a man, with the noticeable clothing of a monk of Balov. He was setting up a podium. Lance decided to listen to the monk, as he was a strong believer in Balov.

"Lo'! What do you have to say?" Lance asked the man.

"Ah, hello there fellow believer! My message today, is to spread the word of the end times in this world! The great Balov has told us that he intends to cleanse the lands of this war! He will raise the ocean's water, and all will be washed away. Friend, you must make haste to the mountains, that is the only safe place!"

Although Lance was a strong believe in Balov, he was skeptical of the information the monk was giving him.

"Really now? Well thanks for the information. I shall tell others of Balov's intents, and tell them to also make haste to the mountains for protection!" he half-lied.

"Spread the word! Let none be caught in his wrath!!" the monk yelled at him as he turned away.

"What do I have to lose...? My life, although good enough, isn't all that great. Maybe I shall find something exciting in the mountains..." Lance thought.

Lance headed off to some food and drink stalls, and bought all the good he could with the remaining amount of cash he had. He packed three oranges, five cold sandwiches, and ten canteen's worth of water. All of that could last him eight days. He figured he could find anything he needed after that. After all, the mountains were packed with game, and surely, there were quite a few mountain streams or springs there. He headed off, by himself. By foot, it'd take about two days of travel. He looked off into the distance and saw the faint mountains in the distance.

"Time to start walking..."

Appearance: Gray haired, slightly old male with a bit of curve to him. He stands with a limp, though always on the prowl. His voice is slightly raspy with a snake like tint, however to hear him speak is a mystery because he only sounds when his actions don't speak for themselves.

Weapons: A sword that stands a man's length tall. Don't underestimate it, though always look for a way around it.

Powers: When I speak through vowels like a curse festering the air, all will be curious to see what will happen.

Personality: Questionable.

Short History: I'll write a little about the whole infrastructure of my existence at the bottom of this post.

QUOTE
The not so short infrastructure.

It is said by many philosophers in the Jagon Beltz Vaxon Galaxy, and is slightly whispered by the big eared Ney-Sayers of the Jferong Galaxy whose ears can hear a pin drop from 42.99758675 light years away, (which consequently was the time it took three time Olympic champion, Vash Stamp the Third, to complete the 700 Vlaxon dash, and even more consequently the phone number to what was Willies Wonderful Eatin€™ Range before its destruction) that when a single phrase of words, when in order and properly pronounced, are uttered a great set of reactions, more devastating than the blue based bellies of the acidic slime sloths of Grandgerflop Ion, will occur. The only thing more consequential than the fact that these very words to be uttered, were in fact uttered by a man whose age is one short of a sum of ten, was that the many races of the Jagon Beltz Vaxon Galaxy got together with the Jferong Galaxy right before earth€™s destruction to capture the Philosophers and Ney-Sayers and imprison them (unlucky for the Philosophers, the Jferongians did not comprehend the Jagon Beltz Vaxonian internal structure and failed to provide them with enough pure carbonate gas for their lungs. In fact they provided none at all). Ironically though, the big eared Ney-Sayers, from their prison cells, heard a sudden silence, and in the amount of time it takes sound to travel 42.99758675 light years they heard a single phrase of words utter from the mouth of a distinguished raspy voice.

And then there was Silence.

And then there was Nothing.

And then there was a longer Silence.

And then there was a reaction

Irononicaly, the big eared ney-sayers of the Jferong Galexy did not hear the reaction because, in fact, there was no reaction at all. Even more ironic, the reaction that did occur, but didn€™t, was the effect of another reaction on a much grander scale.

Sadly the big eared inhabitance of the Jferong Galaxy do not know the meaning of irony, and wouldn€™t give a hoopty frood to its existence (their language is quite different that ours. I am pretty sure Irony in Jferonganies is called: Hablgotfroglagala zip pow.) Though nevertheless, they are ignorant to irony, so they don€™t know what the words €œLynching Obtuse Vermin Ensemble€ mean, nor could they comprehend the irony that accompanies the words with a distinguished raspy voice. That irony, of course, is that the Earth blew up nearly an hour after the words were spoken, and that when TheCowSlayer uttered those words they traveled as sound waves through space, until at last entering a small concave of a dark eerie cave nearly seventy feet wide (Lucky for the sound waves there were no bats in the cave (the Jferong are quite sanitized people, and keep their ears nice and clean)). It bounced off and echoed the cave, sending ripples of sound to cadence the surroundings before it reached its exit, a large drum with hide as its resonance. The sound pounded the drum, sending lengths of other smaller brainy waves further on into the cave, concluding in a large ear left in horror as the sound ended, and left behind a longer silence.

Lance looked down upon Flysh with an angry look on his face. But then... the look softened up! Lance offered a hand to Flysh, to which Flysh looked upon him with a stunned look on his face. Flysh took the hand and got up. The food was scattered across the field, and Lance just shook his head.

"Stay here..." Lance commanded. Lance then went on to pick up the oranges and sandwiches and put them in his pack. Then he came back to where Flysh was standing.

"I'm Lance... nice to meet you... I'm going to the mountains... how about you?

"You are heading out?" she whispered.

"Yeah... I have a feeling about this one... new opportunities." Kyo said back to her.

Her eyes gave off that charming smile... even with her mouth hidden behind her face mask. Kyo leaned over and pulled his mask own down, and gave her a slight kiss to the hand. He then held out his right hand, which had multiple etched rings, each which allowed for forms of magical communication. To his Guild, Alliance, One to One, and current Traveling Partners.

"Don't worry Nene, I'll be in touch with everyone," he winked to her. He grabbed his enchanted bags filled with various supplies and Life Saving Signets.

"And what are you going not to do?" Nene asked in a remarking tone.

"Eh..."

"You know it... just do it only if you have to..." she said with a regretting sigh.

Kyo put his arms around her, and spoke softly, "Relax, you are the one for me."

She pulled down her ninja mask, and gave Kyo a kiss to the lips. After which, he waved goodbye to her. The bright portal pulsated the dark chamber, and Kyo grapped his staff then jumped right in.

His vision was blurred and bright, and soon it was completely blank. He closed his eyes, and then reopened them.

"Looks like a decaying temple." he said to himself as he looked around.

The stone ruins were crumbling slowly, as the plant life claimed it as their own. Water flowed around the old ruins in that of a moat. He glanced forward and spotted an old pathway. He slowly followed through.

About a few minutes later in, Kyo was on a hill, within the main path of the forest, and spotted a town a mile to the north.

"Time to start." He said to himself, and marched on.

Weapons: Energy blades (also known as psi blade). Uses psi energy to power the weapon or even uses it for forces of nature such a psi storm which is an overwhelming energy storm similar to that of a thunderstorm but smaller in size.

Armor: Combat quality armor of unknown compounds. Shielding technology is very weak due to not being able to repair the shield for very long period of time. The shield can be enhanced using his psi powers but only for limited amount of firepower and time otherwise he will not be able to power his psi blades. His cloaking ability is able to last as long as he has sufficient amount of psi energy. It usually can last indefinite amounts of time without any use of anything else for his psi powers.

Powers: Able to use a strong forceful energy known as psi energy. His energy grows of time and learning of new ways to channel his energy. Time is the only thing that will regenerate his power or a crystal which can store psi energy. He only has a few built into his armor.

Alignment: Unknown

Personality: Cautious and religious in tone

Short History: Exiled from his own people he traveled around another universe to only come upon a new gate technology. He was teleported unto a new universe as a lone exiled warrior.

Other: Uses a mixture of three psi energies. The fist two types as a dark energy and a chaos energy. The third is a little unkown.

Appalled at what had just transpired, Lance just stood there for a few minutes. 'I must stop wasting time! I must get to the mountains as fast as possible!' On that thought, Lance began walking once again towards the mountains.

Lance had entered a small forest, and was walking along a small narrow game trail, when he heard a disturbance in the foliage around him. He instantly dived into a bush ahead of him and concentrated all of his will power to blend in with the environment. He sat there for a few minutes wondering whom- or what- it was.

Now exiting the forest which contained the grove he once called home he begins passing the town of Maldar. Others, too, are leaving. He is not the only early bird.

People pass him in a hurry. They seem frantic, like they believe a large wave will come crashing down any second. Charles takes his time, since he believes there's plenty time to travel East. There's little need to hurry.

People begin to literally push past him now. People he knows. One is a teenage girl a few years back with a terrible snakebite. He treated her with a newly formed antivenin he produced with the help of a local chemist. Funny how people are in such a hurry that they can disregard the feelings of their savior. Although, she may not have noticed him.

A strange figure begins to walk towards the crowd. He is clad in a sinister-looking armor and is armed with a menagerie of weapons. Charles makes out white hair as the figure closes in. The stranger has a dead stare at him.

Immediately after realizing this he feels extremely uncomfortable. Something is different about this stranger, but it's something deeper than his physical appearance.

"Excuse me... can you tell me what exactly is happening? Why is everyone leaving the town in the masses?"

Charles doesn't respond right away, he can't believe what is happening.

"The war, it's driving the gods mad. Balov has begun to flood the lands, we're heading east towards the highgrounds.

"The mad prophet back in Maldar can give you more details than I."

Charles disregards the man's continued eye-contact and continues his gentle pace east.

"Thank you..." Kyo said as politely as possible, and walked toward the town center. Feeling embarrassed as the townspeople looked right at him...

"I know they are staring at my Norn Equipment... I guess it is sinister looking to them... oh well, it gives me excellent protection, and helps me conjure my magic easier..." Kyo thought to himself.

He had reached the town center, and noticed a priest... walking straight toward him, a crowd looked right on Kyo and cleared a path for him, simply in fright.

This isn't going to end up well... the crowd was silent.

The monk seemed to be repeating himself with a previous statement:

"Spread the word of the end times in this world! The great Balov has told us that he intends to cleanse the lands of this war! He will raise the ocean's water, and all will be washed away. Friend, you must make haste to the mountains, that is the only safe place!"

He paused... as Kyo stood a little distance behind him.

"Forgive me, holy man." Kyo said as he bowed his head slightly. "I am a traveler that has just arrived here from the south, can you please explain to me the situation in greater detail?"

The crowd seemly gasped at that word "South."

It happened in an instant... Kyo found himself being tied up and placed on a standing.

"Mother of Grenth!" Kyo yelled. "I have simply come to ask some simple questions! And wish to help in anyway!"

The crowd seemly was quite enraged and zealous, as the monk spoke to Kyo as though he were a demon.

"Bless this child! For he has been in the nic of sins! Great Balov, save this man!"

"Oh Dwayna, help me..." Kyo said in a sigh.

Stretching Flysh got up from his panic attack, dusting him self down he quickly turned invisible and rushed towards the town centre. Food was the only thing on his mind. As he sped over the cobbles that coated the market place he saw a large crowd circling a man who was on a wooden standing. Stealthily he brushed past the crowd to the front and looked closely at the strange man in strange clothing, upon inspection Flysh noticed he was tied up. There was nothing that should interest Flysh so he made his way towards the food stalls. The sweet smell of roasted chicken wafted up his nostrils. Just as his thieving hand was about to grab the chicken he turned. Looking once more at the captured victim that the crowd were making a fool of. A ice cold chill struck his body. He recognized him. But from where? Forgetting the chicken, he instantly knew that it was his job to rescue this man. As quickly as he had made his way to the town from the forest he got to the podium where this unknown acquaintance stood. Without a thought, although he know this would weaken him, he got inside the crowds mind.
"Sleep!" he commanded them.
The crowd dropped simultaneously. One man was left standing. He was tall with a hooded robe that hid his face.
"Sleep!" Flysh telepathically commanded him again.
"STOP WITH YOU FOOLISH MIND MAGIC! GET HERE NOW!" the hooded figure shouted. As he said it Kyo and Flysh hurtled through the air into the grasp of his gloved hands. A chat was whispered, which was too complex for either of them to hear. Suddenly - everything went black.

OOC: 'Ello chaps. Here we go.

Xela needed to go into town. His main table had cracked down the middle today as he brought in a mountain deer he'd caught, and he really needed a replacement. The mountain pines were too big for him to fell without the trident, and that would ruin the wood, and regardless he was no carpenter.

The problem was, he hated mingling with the humans and whatnot. He knew his kind were a rare enough sight, and that pained him, but to be the object of a dozen wary guards and interesting children and worried mothers and all that busy, pointless bother was a constant reminder that they were dying out. At the fell, there would be one less as old Hayan died, and no new child to replace him.

Nothing survived the Orc raids any more. They were being pushed back by the humans exploring their borders some more and trying to find a way to the mountain, and one too many fable had entrenched them as sworn enemies.

Sighing, he packed a small bag and some valuables he knew he could trade for a carpenter's favour. They'd charge him an arm and a leg, he knew, as he'd have to fly them all the way out to the mountains, but nothing could be done.

He flew out towards the nearest town.

Lance stood there stupefied, trying to mull over the events that had just happened. That strange man had shown up, had some weird panic attack, and then ran away.

'What the hell just happened...?' he thought. 'Well, I must be getting on with my travels, with our without company.'

Lance continued on the small trail, which was starting to get even more narrow and gain some elevation. Although he had always been somewhat of a loner, he liked having people around. Knowing that others were around him was a very comforting feeling.

His brisk pace slowed down a bit... he had lost the trail! "You have to be kidding me!" he yelled, hoping someone nearby would hear him.

How will combat work when we get around to it? We need a system which people can't really cheat at and say something like

"And Lance throws his throwing knife at the dragon's leg and the dragon explodes."

Not exactly like that, but one person always winning. We need like a dice system, imo, and then we describe the attack ourselves.

"Oh shit."
The sound of a crowd running past my house woke me instantly. I was late for the migration! My internal alarm clock must have broken, I thought.
I hurried to gather my small rucksack and supplies for the trip, but the sound of the crowd in the distance had almost diminished, even with my amplified hearing. I threw on some clothes and my mask to hide my europhic appearance. I didn't want to draw attention to myself. But it was unlikely that was going to happen. I'd be lucky if I could get to the mountains a day or two after the others. I gave out a sigh, not that anybody was going to hear it.

I suddenly had an idea. I ran to my bookshelf and browsed for my spellbook. It had to be here somewhere... I was sure I hadn't thrown it out...
I caught a glint of the silver lock of the book at the back of the shelf. I pulled out and swiped my hand over it. A surge of energy shot into the lock and opened the book up to the correct page. "Teleportation spells".

I chose the first spell I saw and read the instructions.
"Swirl Instant Teleport" it read. "This spell requires an incantation that can be found on the back page of the book. It requires minimal experience with teleportaton, but the subject must be sure of the target location he or she needs to teleport to. This teleport is only short range, and only works every 24 hours."

Thats good, I thought. I hadn't teleported in years. But where exactly did I need to go?
I remembered one day when the sage and I had sat down by a grand oak, quite nearby but also near the path from the mountains, in the forest. We had talked and laughed and...and...

I shook my head. I needed to go as soon as I could. I turned to the back page and said the incantation whilst thinking of the tree as much as I could.
But wait... the tree had burned down in that fire... where would it take me? But it was too late. The last word slurred out of my mouth as I realised I had chosen unwisely. I was wisped away in a magical swirl and instantly fell out of the sky. The last thing I remembered was a glimpse of the figure I was about to fall on top of.

Lance was on the ground, groaning. He rolled whatever had fallen on top of him a few feet to his left. Lance got up and stretched. 'What the hell was that?' he thought. Lance looked to the side of him and saw an unconscious man lying in some wet leaves.

'Where did... he come from?' Lance thought. Confusion and annoyance was taking over his mind. The last day or so had been so strange. A flying invisible man, hearing Armageddon prophecies, and now someone coming out of no where and falling on top of him. Lance decided to wait a while for the man to wake up, so he could explain who he was, and where he came from. Maybe this time, he'd get some answers.

I had a lot more, but I'm typing this in my school's library, and the bell is about to ring. Have fun with this guy's, hopefully we can all meet together and get this thing really started =P

Tordrun opened his eyes to find another pair of eyes staing right back at him.
"Ahh!!!" the men both screamed. Who the hell was this guy? Tordrun flinched and remembered what had happened. There was a sharp pain in his side. He'd fallen pretty badly. Tordrun placed his hands on his wounds and used a little magic to help heal them. Then he looked up at the other person. The guy was pretty damn tall for his age. He was quite skinny, and had a pair of huge old boots. He offered Tordrun a hand up.

"Whats your name?" he asked.
"Oh... er... Tordrun Mousket. Who are you?"
"The guy you fell on top of." he rubbed his head
"Oh yeh... sorry about that... my teleportation spell went a bit wrong... uh..."
"Anyways, I'm Lance. Nice to meet you Tordrun. Do you know where we are?"

Tordrun stood up to point out where the path was, but his facemask fell off and his golden eyes were revealed. Lance feel into a europhic state, his eyes shimmering.

Tordrun swore and picked up his facemask again. Being extremely handsome could be a curse sometimes. He took the mask and tied it around his head. Lance blinked.

"Woah..."
"Its this way" Tordrun found his bag and lead the way into the trees.

His vision came back up... his body was sore, and his head hurt. Kyo stood up with wonder of what the hell just happened.

Not a good start to a New World. He thought to himself.

Kyo checked his equipment... nothing abnormal, nothing missing... He took off his gear, and checked his tattooed body... no injuries...

"Thank you Grenth and Dwayna, for keeping me in the realm of Mortals." Kyo said to himself.

He looked around, and noticed he was in a forest once again. He equipped his Norn Necromancer Armor and walked towards the East.

"You have to be kidding me!" a man had yelled.

After which, a loud scream and thump was heard... along with some groaning.

Kyo ran through the forests and spotted two men laying on the ground. Then of which one of them stood up and stretched.

Kyo stealthily hid behind a tree and watched them... one patiently standing, and one seemingly slightly knocked out. "When should I approach them? Will they be frightened of me as well?" He thought to himself.

They spoke to one another... after one awoke.

"Its this way" One said.

Kyo then stalked them through the woods.

I don't want to make Gandaf do anything else. I'll wait till he gets back. Do whatever with me. Just avoid battle situations unless we are all online. If you have to go into battle, make me use my super-awesome magic powers to completely pwn the guys and don't make me kill them, just leave them like piles of shit.

Yeh.

Charles continues his lope across the trail that the crowds had created. The mud is sticky and cakes around his shoes. He remembers tending the gardens of the monastery, studying the growth of roses and pea plants. He would spend hours upon hours listening to the green plants grow. It is his most peaceful memory.

A figure catches his eye, a figure with a feather poking from its head.
Avians

Immediately Charles hurries after the avian. If he is from the mountains then he may have spring water, which is exactly what Charles needs to restock on. He can take a few hours to backtrack after a stranger who may or may not have the substance he needs.

"Wait!" He calls, desperately hoping for a response.
Alex
"What?" Xela replied in a voice dripping with scorn. "Are you a carpenter?"

"Er.. no?" The slightly bewildered Charles replied, although he knew Avians and wasn't too shocked. (OOC: Sry, mild CC but I think I got it right)

"So what do you want? I'm a busy person and I don't want to be here."

"I need some spring water, and I reckon you have some, living in the mountains as you do."

"Of course I have water, the question of course is what you have to trade and really I doubt you have anything I want. Unless you can help me get a new table, don't wase my time."

OOC: Short post, I'm sorry. Tired.

Charles ponders for a moment, then the matches strike fire.

"Yes, I could arrange that." He promises, remembering that the old carpenter named Arthur whom he helped cure a wound from battle. Arthur had told him if he ever needs anything then all he has to do is ask.

Charles can easily ask for a table at discount price-- maybe even for free.

"Yes, yes. Come, follow me." He beckons for the Avian to follow him into the city. They pass through emptied streets where people had once fled. Charles' only hope is that the old man hasn't yet migrated to the highgrounds.

Knock, knock, knock.

The door opens and Arthur greets them with a smile without all its teeth.

"Old friend, Charles. What've you need for?"

"A small favor, Arthur. Something for this Avian, here."

They enter the small building which is lit by afternoon sunlight.

Lance followed Tordrun silently along a beaten Game trail. There was no sign of life anywhere, but, then Lance heard a stick break.

"Tordrun, stop, and stay still." Lance whispered.

Lance scanned the area for signs of life. He began silently walking around, scanning the area for any signs of a stalker. He passed over one tree and saw a shadow, he kept moving, as if he didn't see anything. Then he threw a knife at the tree, then said aloud

"Ace job... I almost didn't see you. Now, come out. We won't hurt you..."

Kyo chuckled... he unstrapped his turtle neck and zipped it slightly downward, opening it and revealing his hidden mouth... in an attempt to shake off some of his prior sinister look to the people he met earlier.

He revealed himself to the two men, grabbing the thrown knife and giving it back to the tall blond.

"Forgive me, my girlfriend is very good at this kinda stuff, a ninja, she tried to teach me a thing or two. I never actually thought I would do so well."

Kyo stroked his left hand through his hair, and spoke again.

"I am an adventurer, quite new to these lands... I was just wondering of the situation, and tried to see if there were anyway I could help. Apparently, many people in these lands are frightened by my appearance... tried to ask a monk for some information... and I won't get into much details there... "

Kyo looked right into the goldens eyes of one man... and then glanced away.

"Anyways, as I said, I am in wonder of this lands' situation, and I thought I could eaves drop to learn of it..."

He looked again to the golden eyes of the brunette man, strangely attracted by the unique color... but nothing else. Kyo shook his head.

"Forgive me you two, I have had a rough day so far... so I have very much forgotten my manners. My name is Kyo (pronounced Key-Yoh as heard from some mistakes in Skype Chat)"

Strange. The traveller hadn't even glanced twice at my eyes. It was like my appearance didn't affect him...
We didn't get many travellers. Most foreigners stayed away from our lands and our war. Travellers weren't exactly welcomed by all either, especially the Laicononians. I guess he was a bit like I used to be.

"I'm Tordrun, and this is Lance. We're migrating away to the mountain with everybody else. There were warnings that our god Balov was going to destroy our lands so everybody is fleaing. I don't think we need any help, but you're welcome to come along with us."

"An angered god huh? I've had my time with those... Alright, I'll tag along." laughed Kyo.

"Great. Well we're quite a way behind everybody. We had better set off." said Tordrun.

The trio walked together for a while and found the path. They walked and talked about their lives and plans for themselves in the mountains.
Suddenly, they heard a cry. The trio ran around the corner to find a few bulky gang-members circling around a woman and pushing her about. Kyo shouted out.

"Leave that woman alone!"

The men turned around and smiled at the three.

"CRAZY FUCKING CHAINSAW TEAM GOOOOOO!!!!"
Gandaf007
'How do I respond to... this freak?!' Lance thought. His thoughts were racing at a mile a minute. He couldn't determine if the man standing in front of him 'Is he a friend or a foe; how can he help me?' He looked back at Tordrun, who just shrugged nonchalantly.

"Hello Kyo. My name is Lance and my fri- acquaintance over there is named Tordrun. We, along with a mass amount of people in the land are making haste for the mountains to avoid the wrath of Balov, our god. He intends to wipe all of the lands west of the mountains off the face of the planet so he can start anew and rebuild the mighty Balovian empire. We intend to survive and help Balov remake Balovia." Lance said in a quiet, but powerful tone. "Do you wish to join us, sir?"

Lance thought, 'That should either make him join us or leave us, and begone. Either works very well...'

The trio closed upon the band of highwaymen.

"Crazy fucking chainsaw team go!" The leader cried.

Two of the five rushed forward whipping out their daggers, not expecting much of a fight.

Rekal, the leader, pulled out his chainsaw and began to pump the steam pressure higher.

One stayed behind and brought an axe to the woman's neck, stopping just before he tore through her throat.

The last readied an arrow, aimed at the spiky-armored, white haired freak.

I'm a bit confused on how we do this... do we describe what we want to do, and then Pro decides what happens?

What's the skype convo? Can you invite me, my UID is Ethan Clay

Kyo looks straight at the man holding the woman.

"Vampiric Gaze..." he said to himself.

Kyo's eyes glowed a green tint, and quickly flashed...
