What do you guys reckon the Halloween event will be like this year? (Last year's one was just weird in my opinion.) Also when do you think it will be released? According to RuneHQ it should be released some time today (as of the 26th of October 10:00AM GMT).

Well Halloween Events are usually released at the same time for both RuneScape and FunOrb. Mod Korpz, the Head of FunOrb, stated that the Halloween event will be released on Wednesday. It also says in a Jagex Twitter post last week "FunOrb_Dev: Mod Rourke is scared of next week. o.O", which may also be a reference to Halloween.

There was also this recent post: "Are you ready for some Spooktacular Stories from The House of Death? #RuneScape will not be a place for the timid this week... Ajd". But this post would only confirm that the event was this week which we already know for sure.

Probably as soon as they can, methinks tuesday.
Not expecting much, they are usually short and have a crappy reward.

Lol, FunOrb Halloween events are much better. Trying to get those achievements they release are fun and challenging.

Maybe something to do with a Scarecrow with a pumpkin head, that would be cool ;)

Well that's now conclusive evidence that RuneScape and FunOrb have had their Halloween Event update days seperate this year. FunOrb's one should be on Wednesday then.

I suspect that the holiday item may be some tattered robes or something, or "Deaths" robes. To go with the hood.

Meh, I'm yet again disappointed by Jagex's Holiday events. I may have continued playing if the event was any fun, but it wasn't. Apart from the spiders webs. That was cool.

I like Eek the spider.
This is one of those neat event items like the easter ring. (:
Also this helps show that Player characters can have varied idle animations other than just breathing.
I think the first NPC idle animation was with the new bar in Ardougne, that was pretty neat-- seeing the barowner wander around and admire a trophy every now and then. It makes it feel more realistic compared to them just standing around all day.
