so i was searching mechscape on youtube and found a shocking video about mechscape/stellar dwan that looks like it was supposed to be relased in early this year. it shows possible gameplay and information that will rock your mind.
http://www.youtube.com/results?search_quer..._type=&aq=fi have no clue about this video or person but it makes me rethink the idea of mechscape/ stellar dawn.
post your thoughts.
Update: Statement from Mod MMG on the video posted below:
QUOTE
Couldn't agree more Lord John, just to give you all a little background on the video, the video is extremely old, we created it for a Studio meeting back in February 2008 if I recall correctly, that means it even predates RuneScape HD!
The video was never designed for public viewing and as I said on the MSW Q&A we have fundamentally changed the game content and designs. Whilst the video may be a nice bit of eye candy for those of you eager to see the game, it would be a mistake to base your expectations of Stellar Dawn on anything you have seen in the video, actually I believe the video does the current game in development a disservice.

i would go for fake but the fact that it shows coming in spring 2009 shows it was a rough sketch of a information video made by jagex that was dug up by this guy. so this means they meant to release the game early 2009.

"Explore the world".

Certainly seems legit to me. The video refers to "13 worlds" and funnily enough Jagex own the domain thirteenworlds.com (and that isn't commonly known). The concept art and graphics also seem consistent. However, as it is for MechScape and not Stellar Dawn I'm guessing it won't be representative of the final game.

Duh.
This isn't fake. I was suppose to receive a trailer when I interviewed Adam, but I never got it. This was probably the trailer I never got to see. It seems consistent.
Expecting Youtube to remove it...

My thoughts exactly, the amount of time it would have taken to create a fake like that...
PC, I vaguely remember you mentioning a video that Adam Tuckwell decided not to show you at the last minute back when you had that interview with him. The date at the end of the vid seems to suggest this could have been it?
Edit: Seems you just beat me to it. :)

I think it's real.
Especially seeing as the first version was scrapped it makes sense that this would be allowed to be leaked now.
However that means it has no bearing on what the actual stellardawn will look like :/

This is...
Awesome.
But I think there are too many RuneScape concepts in it.
The graphics style is very much like RuneScape, just like the menu at 4:48.
I love the exploring-thing by the way!
And in case this fake, the maker must have had no life at all. I think it actually is (or was) a Jagex insider.
EDIT: I backed-up a copy of the video, in case it gets removed from YouTube.

EDIT2: Oh, and Asasian1396, thanks for sharing!

There is a lot of concept on this that we haven't seen. I wonder if this concept art is going to be in the final version of the game, or if it is going to be edited out when they go back to the drawing board, remember, MMG said this:
"Sadly the game was not as complete as we wanted and we spent the first few months trying to “fix” the game where we could. About a month or so ago we took the decision to stop trying to “fix it” as we still wouldn’t have the game we wanted and the game certainly did not meet all the objectives and specifications established in the original game design document and therefore it would be better to go back to the founding principles and build the game we always wanted."

This video is no concept art. It's actual gameplay!
Gameplay from the 'failed' version of the game of course, but I seriously doubt whether there will be much difference between the old and the new version..

Even though this is pretty amazing and everything I 100% agree...
If I had to hazard a guess at what MMG was referring to when he said "the game certainly did not meet all the objectives and specifications established in the original game design document", then I'd go with this. :\
