Work on anatomy for the first one. I actually like the 2nd one though.

The first one is alright. I really don't have suggestions for that but the second one I have a couple. For some reason it feels like he is going to fall forward. Also, the belt area has smudges that confuse what is supposed to be shadded and what isn't. The right hand look unatural.

Woah, I love the first one! The hand coming out of the ground is amazing. Things to work on are the stance of the characters, it may be on purpose but it kind of looks like each character is leaning back (well leaning forward in the second one). The first one needs particular work in this, the legs kind of let the drawing down, yes, they are amazing detailed but the positioning of them makes them look odd.
The only other thing would be the face of the pilot, it looks flat, needs more rounding off, especially the nose to chin section. Otherwise, for the first drawings you have done for ages, they are really good! Well done. -------------------- |

I think before you go forward in adding detail to your drawings, you need to consider anatomy a little more.
