Crush Is A Trickster - This is a poem I've created, and the design above is recent and matches this poem.
Turmoil presents me with it's finest hand.
Heavy blow to this one articulate mind.

Leaving no empathy for this dealer.
Shuffling the last cards of my sanity.

Forgive me not, for i haven't sinned.
Or is one's burning crush, to much?

Left to die, for sorrow does not show his head.

It's not complete but I wanted you to associate is with the design.

Thank-you very much, I'm grateful of your attention to my work! This particular piece of poetry-based design was created mainly in Adobe Illustrator and modified slightly with Adobe Photoshop. I'd comment more on my style but anything I do as a style is completely accidental. I suppose I've got certain ways of working that i like that must contribute to the style of my work. Probably very heavily influenced with todays media from magazines and research to which could contribute.

Shall I create a version with a lighter background? It wouldn't be as contrasting but the more complex shapes should make up for that and divide attention?

I'm loving the graphic art i think it's amazing and it does tie in very well with the poem. I do like the idea of sandwiched pieces of art and poetry though, it's something i may have to look into for my own work.

However the poems alright but it doesn't really move me at all, forgive me for being harsh, i just think the subjects too vague to flow into each of the stanzas, it just seems a bit bland to me because it doesn't really develop on any point in particular.

But i fully accept it's a work in progress and it does show promise :) Good luck

I personally think the vest and shirt of the Skeleton guy don't match the rest of the picture and should be lighter with outlines too. Everything has black lines emphasising the detail of objects such as the skull, EXCEPT the shirt which makes it look more like a skull was stuck onto an existing image of a shirt.

Great shirt though.

I love the T-shirt!
I think the placement is a little odd though.
