Well there was a topic about this game ages ago and I completely forgot about it except that I saw an ad for it on a random site so I went to investigate.

It is entirely browser based and is very much like WoW, although it is F2p. The only downside is it has a cash shop (though it doesn't seem necessary to actually buy anything) and that every single race is a furry (So you choose something like a demon instead ;).

The one thing about the cash shop however, is that to get cash shop items you do not need to pay IRL money as all items can be bought with ingame currency too, it's just far quicker if you pay cash.

As it is browser based it is of course direct competition to Runescape, and one thing I've noticed is that it is graphically superior. The character customisation is rather cool allowing you to edit most things about your character.

There are currently only 4 classes to choose from, but it is only the BETA.

I haven't played it long enough to make a decision but I'm up for anything free that isn't Runescape :)

EDIT: Took a Screenshot of my newbie character. I've done almost nothing seeing as I had a few issues getting it to work.

I was in the closed beta. Then when it went into open beta I got to like level 20 in one week, and after that I realized all there is to do is quest and grind on mobs. I'll try it again when they start updating it with content.

I find it funny I found this topic literally while the game is loading. It seems interesting graphic-wise; I'll have to wait awhile to decide whether it's really worth my time or not.

So.....its medieval fantasy, yet set in the far far far future.....Humans either went extinct or fled the planet.....and certain animals developed and evolved enough to become relatively intelligent humanoids?

Eh.....the premise sounds kind've gay....and not really fun i dunno, the graphics, while they look good and fun looks kind of cartoonish =/.

I don't know, i'll check it out when the game is fully done and out

Are the quests like they are in RoM or WoW? If so, then it doesn't sound that appealing. If they have interactive quests like RuneScape I'd be willing to give it a go.

I've been in this game since day one of the closed beta. It's okay I guess... if you don't follow the quests and trying leveling just with PvE you can't get anywhere at least in the 20 or lower levels. There's 4 classes, it's a combat-only game.

I havn't been playing recently, got boring.

It's basically RuneScape, World of Warcraft and a few other games mixed together in the style of game design and interface. Nothing all that original, looks like many other MMOs out there.

This is what you get when you combine baby-kid game FreeRealms and teen-adult game World of Warcraft.

As this is a wolf/dog game i will name my character after my 2 dogs Troy and Potter. (Troy because he is cuter than potter and potter because his shit is big)

So my account would be a cute shitter.

I wouldn't say it is entirely browser based as you have to download a program to run it, just more browser based then downloading a 1gb assets pack with it.

Lets see what I think of it when I play it some.

Oh and don't forget f11 for a little bigger screen size.

Edit: Half the speed as it takes to start RuneScape so far... not impressed yet.

Loading screen after loading the game??? Doesn't make sense. So basically I waited way too long for the login screen to begin with.

__________

Just a warning that I'm comparing this to RuneScape a little bit because that is the closest game that matches this practically. It is a browser game along with this one.

Alright, after creating my character I'm not impressed. I liked the number of options for colors but I still felt very limited by it. Then when I entered into the game I never felt such "away" from the game before. It is practically the same exact as S.U.N which is 10x better graphics wise but is also aimed towards a teenage to adult audience. I had to quit after a while because unlike RuneScape quests that actually feel like they finish, this just seamed like go here then kill this create X times and then go back to that same person to only go back to the person that sent you to that person so they can send you to another person who will then send you to get an item. I also felt that the tutorial was a waste. You killed three "butterflies" then you moved to a bandit camp where you got a hammer then progressed to repair your boat. Then that was it for the tutorial island.

Things I liked were that the graphics had potential but the problems with the graphics are just the plain fact they couldn't get it to look right. Whenever I right clicked on something it would show like target path on the ground. Sorta was weird at first then realized it was a bug in the graphics as the ground was not showing up right.

The loading was way too long for the small amount of assets that it really needed. I also felt like I was waiting so long because it was loading all of the game that it needed for the start but it turns out that it took longer to load RuneScape and be in the game for me to just get to the login screen alone. Then I was met by another one and soon enough another one after that. I'm sorry but I donn't have a problem with loading screens but when I feel that the computer isn't even being teased at all to load the small worlds then I don't feel like this is spending my time right.

The named of the characters are somewhat stolen from other fantasies and that killed it a lot for me. I know that this might be targeted towards younger folk but come one. You can think up a cool name for a character. The name doesn't have to be badass or anything but at least create a name that is different from a character in a book. RuneScape has this with Juliet and Romeo but for some reason that doesn't feel like the same and that is most likely because it pokes at Shakespeare and Romeo and Juliet.

Music was great but it was hard to hear. It also peaked at random points or started up for what seamed like now reason at all. Great music but they need to work on timing with the music for battles and the music to match a lot more. RuneScape has this problem as well.

The controls were crap. I have to say that I have more response from controls then games which my computer doesn't even have the computer requirements to match it. Not accounting for the lag the controls would suddenly act on their own and then 'lock up' for a while making it annoying after the twentieth time it does it. They could do a lot to improve that. I also checked my cpu when running this to see if it was to do with that but my cpu was around 18 to 24 cpu usage. I think my compute can handle it just fine.

The entire game I didn't see a single person. I don't know if that was because no one was online during my time but that is one reason why I would drop a game. If everyone else thinks that it is crap and I don't like some stuff. I tend to think more negatively about it. I didn't see a single human on the entire time that I was on. I spend over an hour playing the game which is reasonable. I don't know what they have for the number of people on right now but I haven't ever really seen an MMO with this problem.

Looking into the customization of the character I feel like they could do more. It is very basic and I don't see a variaty. I already see the end of my player and depending on the leveling system I feel like I would reach the end of the tree in a matter of a month or two which isn't very long at all for an MMO. I think they could add a lot more content.

Sorry but RuneScape would win hands down and I don't play that game much anymore either... :/

I would also like to make an argument that this isn't a true browser based game when you have to install a program that is specific to the program. Pretty much because it is played in a browser window doesn't really mean that it is a browser game. At least it doesn't feel like it to me. I understand that Jagex uses Java which you have to install to get that to get RuneScape to run on you computer but that can be used for anything practically. I just don't think that it is a true browser game. I'm not saying that it isn't a browser game... just not a true one.

Just remember this is the BETA...

I was decieved by it's "Browser" based-ness and was like "Why do I have to download something..."
I still can't judge the game until I've given it some time.
